The Florida Brewers Guild is partnering with the Sensory-sensei to offer two sensory courses this year as an additional component to our conference. These courses will cater to Intermediate and Advanced-level attendees and provide a comprehensive, engaging and educational sensory experience for Florida’s brewing community.
The sensory classes will take place in the conference area of the hotel.
SENSORY COURSE: INTERMEDIATE TO SENSORY
Monday July 28th, 2025 - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This course will cover 8 of the most common off-flavors encountered in beer. Attendees will learn to identify and understand these flaws, their sources, and how to mitigate them during production handling or storage.

SENSORY COURSE: ADVANCED CLASS
Monday July 28th, 2025 - 1:00PM - 4:30PM (Continues after lunch break)
This course includes a seat in the intermediate session and continues with an advanced afternoon session. Attendees will experience 10 additional off and on flavors, with a deeper dive into the science and sensory techniques behind them. Attendees will learn to identify and understand these flaws, their sources, and how to mitigate them during production, handling or storage.
